Are you an LPC Supervisor in Texas wanting to market your services and connect with potential Associates? Are you recently graduated from your Master’s program and beginning the search for an LPC Supervisor? If so, Find Your Supervisor is a directory for LPC Supervisors to list their information in a searchable index so that potential Supervisees can connect with them and hopefully find a perfect match! There’s even a FREE version! Though you will not get all the robust search capabilities and members only resources you receive with the paid version, the FREE option still allows you to market basic information about your practice.
What do I get in the paid version? The short answer: A LOT! CLICK HERE to access the pricing page to learn more. Just think, if you contract with one new Associate from the site, the PREMIUM plan has paid for itself for the whole year within one month. PLUS, I’m giving you a discount code to take one of my Supervisor Refresher Courses (6 hours of CEs) for FREE as part of the Premium membership. It’s almost paying for itself just with that discount.
If you have any questions, click REPLY to this email and I can answer any questions you have. Thanks again for allowing me this personal promotion! 🙏

Learning new technology can be stressful! We’re going to look at some software options that are very easy to learn and use!
Yes, you need a website if you are in private practice!
As professional counselors, we are continuously advocating for higher pay and being viewed as equals in the healthcare industry. In pursuing this goal, it’s important to present yourself in the highest level of professionalism. A website is your introduction to potential clients and the world about who you are and what you do. Make sure it portrays the quality of service you provide and premium rates you want to charge.
I use Squarespace for most sites and find it to be affordable, relatively easy to use, and they offer beautiful templates. In my opinion, these sites look much better than the “cookie cutter” websites offered by software platforms where everyone has the same generic looking site.
As we enter a new year, it’s a good time to invest in your future. Have you ever created a Vision Board? If not, check out this article to learn more. I think it can be beneficial to create a visual of your current goals that you can see multiple times a day to help with inspiration and motivation.
Wanting to learn more about the Counseling Compact? There are people who both advocate for, and oppose it. Which side of the fence are you on, and why?
Short answer: studies say YES 👍.
Choosing the Right Billing Software for Therapists
Billing software can help private mental health practitioners streamline their practice management, maintain patient records, and keep track of appointments, treatment plans, and billing, all integrated within one easy-to-use system. Additionally, the EHR software for mental health professionals are designed to be HIPAA-compliant and ensures the utmost security and privacy of sensitive patient health information. By adopting a carefully selected EHR system, therapists can provide a higher standard of care to their clients, improve their practice’s efficiency, and stay ahead in the competitive mental health landscape.
When choosing the right billing software for a mental health practice, here are some things to consider:
Ease of Use: The billing software should be user-friendly and easy to navigate. It should have an intuitive interface that allows you to manage your practice with ease.
HIPAA Compliance: The billing software should be HIPAA-compliant to ensure the utmost security and privacy of sensitive patient health information. This can help therapists avoid costly fines and legal issues that may arise from non-compliance.
Customization: The billing software should be customizable to meet the unique needs of your practice. It should allow you to create custom templates, forms, and reports that fit your practice’s workflow.
Integration: The billing software should integrate with other systems such as EHR, scheduling, and telehealth platforms. This can help streamline your practice’s workflow and improve efficiency.
Cost: The cost of the billing software should be reasonable and affordable. It should provide value for money and not be too expensive for your practice.
Here are 4 billing software options for private mental health practitioners:
TheraNest: TheraNest is the leading EMR software designed specifically for behavioral and mental health counseling private practices. The cost of TheraNest starts at $39 per month.
TherapyNotes: TherapyNotes is one of the leading EHR systems, highly trusted, and rated as one of the best in the industry. The cost of TherapyNotes starts at $49 per month.
SimplePractice: SimplePractice is a cloud-based EHR system designed for health and wellness professionals. The cost of SimplePractice starts at $29 per month.
TheraPlatform: TheraPlatform is a HIPAA-compliant teletherapy platform that offers a range of features, including video conferencing, scheduling, billing, and more. The cost of TheraPlatform starts at $39 per month.
Please note that these are the lowest price options for joining and lack a lot of features you may want in your software. As you add features, the price goes up! Make sure you select the option that works best for you and your practice.
Though the four mentioned above are some of the most common billing softwares, there are many more options. Here’s a link to a list with additional billing softwares designed for mental health practices (it’s from CarePatron which isn’t mentioned above, but also a good option. It even has a FREE option for new therapists just starting and wanting to save some 💵):
